¹⁸ I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book;^(A)

^32 [a]You must diligently observe everything that I command you; do not add to it or take anything from it.^(A)

² You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you.^(A)

³ Blessed is the one who reads the words of the prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

⁷ “See, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”^(A)

⁶ So, for the sake of your tradition, you nullify the word^[a] of God. ⁷ You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly about you when he said:

¹⁸ And if in spite of this you will not obey me, I will continue to punish you sevenfold for your sins.

²⁸ I will continue hostile to you in fury; I in turn will punish you myself sevenfold for your sins.

²⁴ then I, too, will continue hostile to you: I myself will strike you sevenfold for your sins.^{(A) 25} I will bring the sword against you, executing vengeance for the covenant, and if you withdraw into your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into enemy hands.^(B)
