The Thousand Years
20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and locked and sealed it over him, so that he would deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be let out for a little while.
4 Then I saw thrones, and those seated on them were given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus[a] and for the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. Over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him a thousand years.
Satan’s Doom
7 When the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, in order to gather them for battle; they are as numerous as the sands of the sea. 9 They marched up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from heaven[b] and consumed them. 10 And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The Dead Are Judged
11 Then I saw a great white throne and the one who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. 13 And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire; 15 and anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

4 Poi vidi dei troni. A quelli che vi si misero seduti fu dato di giudicare. E vidi le anime di quelli che erano stati decapitati per la testimonianza di Gesù e per la parola di Dio, e di quelli che non avevano adorato la bestia né la sua immagine e non avevano ricevuto il suo marchio sulla fronte e sulla mano. Essi tornarono in vita e regnarono con Cristo per mille anni. 5 Gli altri morti non tornarono in vita prima che i mille anni fossero trascorsi. I libri furono aperti, e fu aperto anche un altro libro, che è il libro della vita; e i morti furono giudicati dalle cose scritte nei libri, secondo le loro opere. 13 Il mare restituì i morti che erano in esso; la morte e l’Ades restituirono i loro morti; ed essi furono giudicati, ciascuno secondo le sue opere. 14 Poi la morte e l’Ades furono gettati nello stagno di fuoco. Questa è la morte seconda, cioè lo stagno di fuoco[d]. 15 E se qualcuno non fu trovato scritto nel libro della vita, fu gettato nello stagno di fuoco.

2 Und er ergriff den Drachen, die alte Schlange, die der Teufel und der Satan ist, und band ihn für 1 000 Jahre
3 und warf ihn in den Abgrund und schloss ihn ein und versiegelte über ihm, damit er die Völker nicht mehr verführen kann, bis die 1 000 Jahre vollendet sind. Und nach diesen muss er für kurze Zeit losgelassen werden.
4 Und ich sah Throne, und sie setzten sich darauf, und das Gericht wurde ihnen übergeben; und [ich sah] die Seelen derer, die enthauptet worden waren um des Zeugnisses Jesu und um des Wortes Gottes willen, und die das Tier nicht angebetet hatten, noch sein Bild, und das Malzeichen weder auf ihre Stirn noch auf ihre Hand angenommen hatten; und sie wurden lebendig und regierten die 1 000 Jahre mit Christus[b].
5 Die Übrigen der Toten aber wurden nicht wieder lebendig, bis die 1 000 Jahre vollendet waren. Dies ist die erste Auferstehung.
6 Glückselig und heilig ist, wer Anteil hat an der ersten Auferstehung! Über diese hat der zweite Tod keine Macht, sondern sie werden Priester Gottes und des Christus sein und mit ihm regieren 1 000 Jahre.
Satan wird losgelassen und mit den abtrünnigen Völkern endgültig gerichtet
7 Und wenn die 1 000 Jahre vollendet sind, wird der Satan aus seinem Gefängnis losgelassen werden,
8 und er wird ausgehen, um die Heidenvölker zu verführen, die an den vier Enden der Erde leben, den Gog und den Magog, um sie zum Kampf zu versammeln, deren Zahl wie der Sand am Meer ist.
9 Und sie zogen herauf auf die Fläche des Landes[c] und umringten das Heerlager der Heiligen und die geliebte Stadt. Und es fiel Feuer von Gott aus dem Himmel herab und verzehrte sie.
10 Und der Teufel, der sie verführt hatte, wurde in den Feuer- und Schwefelsee geworfen, wo das Tier ist und der falsche Prophet, und sie werden gepeinigt werden Tag und Nacht, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit.

11 Und ich sah einen großen weißen Thron und den, der darauf saß; vor seinem Angesicht flohen die Erde und der Himmel, und es wurde kein Platz für sie gefunden.
12 Und ich sah die Toten, Kleine und Große, vor Gott stehen, und es wurden Bücher geöffnet, und ein anderes Buch wurde geöffnet, das ist das Buch des Lebens; und die Toten wurden gerichtet gemäß ihren Werken, entsprechend dem, was in den Büchern geschrieben stand.
13 Und das Meer gab die Toten heraus, die in ihm waren, und der Tod und das Totenreich gaben die Toten heraus, die in ihnen waren; und sie wurden gerichtet, ein jeder nach seinen Werken.
14 Und der Tod und das Totenreich wurden in den Feuersee geworfen. Das ist der zweite Tod.

20 Ezután ismét láttam: egy angyal szállt le a Mennyből, aki a kezében tartotta a feneketlen mélység kulcsát és egy nagy láncot. 2 Foglyul ejtette a Sárkányt, azt a Régi Kígyót — akit neveznek Ördögnek és Sátánnak is —, azután megkötözte ezer évre. 3 Majd ledobta a feneketlen mélységbe, a lejáratot pedig bezárta és lepecsételte, hogy a Sárkány ne tudja többé becsapni a népeket, amíg az ezer év le nem telik. Ezer év múlva a Sárkányt egy kis időre szabadon kell majd engedni.
4 Azután trónokat láttam, és akik rajtuk ültek, azok hatalmat kaptak, hogy uralkodjanak.
Majd láttam azoknak az embereknek a lelkeit, akiket azért fejeztek le, mert Jézusról és az Isten Igéjéről tanúskodtak; akik nem imádták a Szörnyeteget, sem annak bálványszobrát, és nem engedték sem a homlokukra, sem a kezükre tenni a Szörnyeteg jelét. Azután könyveket nyitottak ki, és ítéletet hirdettek a halottak felett — mindenkinek a saját tettei alapján, amelyek a könyvekben voltak feljegyezve. Azután kinyitottak egy másik könyvet is, az Élet Könyvét. 13 A tenger kiadta a benne levő halottakat, ugyanígy a Halál és a Hádész is kiadták a náluk levő halottakat. 20 Puis je vis un ange descendre du ciel. Il tenait à la main la clé de l’abîme et une grande chaîne. 2 Il se saisit du dragon, de ce Serpent ancien qui est le diable et Satan. Il l’enchaîna pour mille ans. 3 Il le précipita dans l’abîme qu’il ferma au-dessus de lui[a], en y mettant des scellés afin que le dragon ne puisse plus égarer les peuples avant le terme des mille ans. Après cela, il doit être relâché pour un peu de temps.
Cinquième vision : victoire finale sur Satan après son relâchement
4 Ensuite je vis des trônes. On remit le jugement entre les mains de ceux qui y prirent place. Je vis aussi les âmes de ceux qu’on avait décapités à cause du témoignage rendu par Jésus et à cause de la Parole de Dieu. Je vis encore tous ceux qui n’avaient pas adoré la bête ni son image et qui n’avaient pas reçu sa marque sur leur front et leur main. Ils vécurent[b] et régnèrent avec Christ pendant mille ans.
5 C’est la première résurrection. Les autres morts ne vécurent pas avant la fin des mille ans. 6 Heureux et saints ceux qui ont part à la première résurrection. La seconde mort n’a pas prise sur eux. Ils seront prêtres de Dieu et de Christ, et ils régneront avec lui pendant les mille ans.
7 Lorsque les mille ans seront écoulés, Satan sera relâché de sa prison 8 et il s’en ira tromper les peuples des quatre coins de la terre, Gog et Magog[c]. Il les rassemblera pour le combat, en troupes innombrables comme les grains de sable au bord des mers.
9 Tous ces peuples s’ébranlèrent sur toute la surface de la terre et investirent le camp du peuple saint et la ville bien-aimée de Dieu. Mais un feu tomba du ciel et les consuma. 10 Alors le diable, qui les trompait, fut jeté dans l’étang de feu et de soufre : il y rejoignit la bête et le faux prophète et ils y subiront des tourments, jour et nuit, pendant l’éternité.
Sixième vision : le jugement
11 Ensuite je vis un grand trône blanc et celui qui y était assis. Le ciel et la terre s’enfuirent loin de sa présence. Ils disparurent sans laisser de trace. 12 Je vis les morts, les grands et les petits, comparaissant devant le trône. Des livres furent ouverts. On ouvrit aussi un autre livre : le livre de vie. Les morts furent jugés, chacun d’après ses actes, suivant ce qui était inscrit dans ces livres. 13 La mer avait rendu ses naufragés, la mort et le royaume des morts avaient rendu ceux qu’ils détenaient. Et tous furent jugés, chacun conformément à ses actes.
14 Puis la mort et le séjour des morts furent précipités dans l’étang de feu. Cet étang de feu, c’est la seconde mort. 15 On y jeta aussi tous ceux dont le nom n’était pas inscrit dans le livre de vie.
