^2 (A)“‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but ^(B)have tested those ^(C)who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. ³ I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up ^(D)for my name's sake, and you ^(E)have not grown weary. ⁴ But I have this against you, that you have abandoned ^(F)the love you had at first. ⁵ Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do ^(G)the works you did at first. If not, ^(H)I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. ⁶ Yet this you have: you hate the works of ^(I)the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. ^7 (J)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ^(K)To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of ^(L)the tree of life, which is in ^(M)the paradise of God.’

To the Church in Smyrna

⁸ “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: ‘The words of ^(N)the first and the last, ^(O)who died and came to life.

⁹ “‘I know your tribulation and ^(P)your poverty (^(Q)but you are rich) and the slander^[a] of ^(R)those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰ Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, ^(S)that you may be tested, and for ^(T)ten days ^(U)you will have tribulation. ^(V)Be faithful ^(W)unto death, and I will give you ^(X)the crown of life. ^11 (Y)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ^(Z)The one who conquers will not be hurt by ^(AA)the second death.’

To the Church in Pergamum

⁸ “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you ^(A)an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

^22 (A)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

³⁰ And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’

³¹ Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ ³² For ^(A)the Gentiles seek after all these things, and ^(B)your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. ³³ But ^(C)seek first ^(D)the kingdom of God and his righteousness, ^(E)and all these things will be added to you.

^18 (A)Take care then how you hear, ^(B)for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.”
