The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

⁶ Then I heard what seemed to be ^(A)the voice of a great multitude, like ^(B)the roar of many waters and ^(C)like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,

for the fine linen is ^(H)the righteous deeds of the saints.

⁹ And the angel said^[a] to me, “Write this: ^(I)Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, ^(J)“These are the true words of God.” ¹⁰ Then ^(K)I fell down at his feet to worship him, ^(L)but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to ^(M)the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

² And I saw ^(A)the holy city, ^(B)new Jerusalem, ^(C)coming down out of heaven from God, ^(D)prepared ^(E)as a bride adorned for her husband.

The New Jerusalem

⁹ Then came ^(A)one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of ^(B)the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you ^(C)the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.” ¹⁰ And ^(D)he carried me away in the Spirit to ^(E)a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, ^11 (F)having the glory of God, ^(G)its radiance ^(H)like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
