²⁰ And the beast was captured, and with it ^(A)the false prophet ^(B)who in its presence^[a] had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who ^(C)worshiped its image. These two were ^(D)thrown alive into the lake of ^(E)fire that burns with sulfur.

¹⁰ and the devil ^(A)who had deceived them was ^(B)thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where ^(C)the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

^8 (A)But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, ^(B)their portion will be in ^(C)the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is ^(D)the second death.”

¹⁴ Then ^(A)Death and Hades ^(B)were thrown into the lake of fire. This is ^(C)the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, ^(D)he was thrown into the lake of fire.

⁸ And then ^(A)the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus ^(B)will kill with ^(C)the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by ^(D)the appearance of his coming. ⁹ The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan ^(E)with all power and false signs and wonders, ¹⁰ and with all wicked deception for ^(F)those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. ¹¹ Therefore ^(G)God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe ^(H)what is false,

⁷ After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, ^(A)terrifying and dreadful and exceedingly strong. It had great iron teeth; ^(B)it devoured and broke in pieces ^(C)and stamped what was left with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and ^(D)it had ten horns. ⁸ I considered the horns, and behold, ^(E)there came up among them another horn, a little one, ^(F)before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and ^(G)a mouth speaking great things.

The Ancient of Days Reigns

⁹ “As I looked,

¹¹ “I looked then because of the sound of ^(T)the great words that the horn was speaking. And as I looked, ^(U)the beast was killed, and its body destroyed ^(V)and given over to be burned with fire. ¹² As for the rest of the beasts, ^(W)their dominion was taken away, but their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

The Son of Man Is Given Dominion

¹³ “I saw in the night visions,

¹⁰ he also will drink ^(A)the wine of God's wrath, ^(B)poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and ^(C)he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

³³ For ^(A)a burning place^[a] has long been prepared; indeed, for the king it is made ready, ^(B)its pyre made deep and wide, with fire and wood in abundance; ^(C)the breath of the Lord, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.

¹² And ^(A)the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings ^(B)for one hour, together with the beast.
