Christ on a White Horse

^11 (A)Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, ^(B)a white horse. And He who sat on him was called ^(C)Faithful and True, and ^(D)in righteousness He judges and makes war. ^12 (E)His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. ^(F)He ^[a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. ^13 (G)He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(H)The Word of God. ^14 (I)And the armies in heaven, ^(J)clothed in ^[b]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. ¹⁵ Now ^(K)out of His mouth goes a ^[c]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And ^(L)He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. ^(M)He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶ And ^(N)He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

^(O)KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

Satan Bound 1,000 Years

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, ^(A)having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. ² He laid hold of ^(B)the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; ³ and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and ^(C)set a seal on him, ^(D)so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

⁴ And I saw ^(E)thrones, and they sat on them, and ^(F)judgment was committed to them. Then I saw ^(G)the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, ^(H)who had not worshiped the beast ^(I)or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they ^(J)lived and ^(K)reigned with Christ for ^[a]a thousand years. ⁵ But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. ⁶ Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such ^(L)the second death has no power, but they shall be ^(M)priests of God and of Christ, ^(N)and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

All Things Made New

21 Now ^(A)I saw a new heaven and a new earth, ^(B)for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. ² Then I, ^[a]John, saw ^(C)the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared ^(D)as a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, ^(E)the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. ^4 (F)And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; ^(G)there shall be no more death, ^(H)nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

⁵ Then ^(I)He who sat on the throne said, ^(J)“Behold, I make all things new.” And He said ^[b]to me, “Write, for ^(K)these words are true and faithful.”

⁶ And He said to me, ^(L)“It^[c] is done! ^(M)I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. ^(N)I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. ⁷ He who overcomes ^[d]shall inherit all things, and ^(O)I will be his God and he shall be My son.

The Glory of the New Jerusalem

^22 (A)But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ^23 (B)The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine ^[a]in it, for the ^[b]glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. ^24 (C)And the nations ^[c]of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor ^[d]into it. ^25 (D)Its gates shall not be shut at all by day ^(E)(there shall be no night there). ^26 (F)And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into ^[e]it.

³ And ^(A)there shall be no more curse, ^(B)but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His ^(C)servants shall serve Him. ^4 (D)They shall see His face, and ^(E)His name shall be on their foreheads. ^5 (F)There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor ^(G)light of the sun, for ^(H)the Lord God gives them light. ^(I)And they shall reign forever and ever.

The Time Is Near

⁶ Then he said to me, ^(J)“These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the ^[a]holy prophets ^(K)sent His angel to show His servants the things which must ^(L)shortly take place.

^7 (M)“Behold, I am coming quickly! ^(N)Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
