8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people (A)with fire. 9 They were scorched by the fierce heat, and (B)they cursed[a] the name of God who had power over these plagues. (C)They did not repent (D)and give him glory.

8 The fourth[a] poured out his bowl on the sun. He[b] was given the power[c] to burn people with fire, 9 and people were burned by the intense heat. So they blasphemed the name of God,(A) who had the power[d] over these plagues, and they did not repent and give Him glory.
