Revelation 16:4-7
New English Translation
4 Then[a] the third angel[b] poured out his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood. 5 Now[c] I heard the angel of the waters saying:
“You are just[d]—the one who is and who was,
the Holy One—because you have passed these judgments,[e]
6 because they poured out the blood of your saints and prophets,
so[f] you have given them blood to drink. They got what they deserved!”[g]
7 Then[h] I heard the altar reply,[i] “Yes, Lord God, the All-Powerful,[j] your judgments are true and just!”

4 The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. 5 I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, who are and who were, O Holy One, because you have judged these things. 6 For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.” 7 I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”
