² I heard a sound^[a] from heaven like the sound of cascading waters^(A) and like the rumbling of loud thunder. The sound I heard was like harpists playing on their harps.^{(B) 3} They sang^[b] a new song^(C) before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders,^(D) but no one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
