13 And it performed great signs,(A) even causing fire to come down from heaven(B) to the earth in full view of the people. 14 Because of the signs(C) it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived(D) the inhabitants of the earth.(E) It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.(F) 15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship(G) the image to be killed.(H)

13 He (A)performs great signs, so that he even makes (B)fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the presence of people. 14 And he (C)deceives (D)those who live on the earth because of (E)the signs which it was given him to perform [a](F)in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who *had the (G)wound of the sword and has come to life. 15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even [b]speak and cause (H)all who do not (I)worship the image of the beast to be killed.
