⁹ And the great ^(A)dragon was thrown down, the ^(B)serpent of old who is called the devil and ^(C)Satan, who ^(D)deceives the whole ^[a]world; he was ^(E)thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. ¹⁰ Then I heard ^(F)a loud voice in heaven, saying,

“Now the ^(G)salvation, and the power, and the ^(H)kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the ^(I)accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night.

⁹ Then ^(A)Satan answered the ^[a]Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing?

⁴ Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has, he will give for his life. ^5 (A)However, reach out with Your hand now, and ^(B)touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse You to Your face!”

Joshua, the High Priest

3 Then he showed me ^(A)Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and ^[a](B)Satan standing at his right to accuse him. ² And the Lord said to Satan, “^(C)The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has ^(D)chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a ^(E)log snatched from the fire?”
