¹⁹ Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant^[a] appeared in his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder,^(A) an earthquake,^[b] and severe hail.

The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon

12 A great sign^[a] appeared in heaven:^(A) a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.^(B)

³ Then another sign^[a] appeared in heaven: There was a great fiery red dragon^(A) having seven heads and ten horns,^(B) and on its heads were seven crowns.^[b]

¹⁰ Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “Don’t do that!^(A) I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold firmly to the testimony of Jesus.^(B) Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit^[a] of prophecy.”

⁴ They will see his face,^(A) and his name will be on their foreheads.^(B)

⁹ But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!” ^(A)
