Revelation 1:17-2:7

^17 (A)When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But ^(B)he laid his right hand on me, ^(C)saying, “Fear not, ^(D)I am the first and the last, ¹⁸ and the living one. ^(E)I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and ^(F)I have the keys of Death and Hades. ^19 (G)Write therefore ^(H)the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. ²⁰ As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and ^(I)the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and ^(J)the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

To the Church in Ephesus

2 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of ^(K)him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, ^(L)who walks among the seven golden lampstands.

^2 (M)“‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but ^(N)have tested those ^(O)who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. ³ I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up ^(P)for my name's sake, and you ^(Q)have not grown weary. ⁴ But I have this against you, that you have abandoned ^(R)the love you had at first. ⁵ Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do ^(S)the works you did at first. If not, ^(T)I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. ⁶ Yet this you have: you hate the works of ^(U)the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. ^7 (V)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ^(W)To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of ^(X)the tree of life, which is in ^(Y)the paradise of God.’
