The Lamb Breaks the Seventh Seal
8 When the Lamb broke the seventh seal on the scroll,[a] there was silence throughout heaven for about half an hour. 2 I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets.
3 Then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar. And a great amount of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God’s people as an offering on the gold altar before the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, mixed with the prayers of God’s holy people, ascended up to God from the altar where the angel had poured them out. 5 Then the angel filled the incense burner with fire from the altar and threw it down upon the earth; and thunder crashed, lightning flashed, and there was a terrible earthquake.
The First Four Trumpets
6 Then the seven angels with the seven trumpets prepared to blow their mighty blasts.
7 The first angel blew his trumpet, and hail and fire mixed with blood were thrown down on the earth. One-third of the earth was set on fire, one-third of the trees were burned, and all the green grass was burned.
8 Then the second angel blew his trumpet, and a great mountain of fire was thrown into the sea. One-third of the water in the sea became blood, 9 one-third of all things living in the sea died, and one-third of all the ships on the sea were destroyed.
10 Then the third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from the sky, burning like a torch. It fell on one-third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star was Bitterness.[b] It made one-third of the water bitter, and many people died from drinking the bitter water.
12 Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet, and one-third of the sun was struck, and one-third of the moon, and one-third of the stars, and they became dark. And one-third of the day was dark, and also one-third of the night.
13 Then I looked, and I heard a single eagle crying loudly as it flew through the air, “Terror, terror, terror to all who belong to this world because of what will happen when the last three angels blow their trumpets.”

8 Sa pagtangtang sa Karnero sa ikapito nga selyo may kahilom sa langit sulod sa mga tunga sa oras. 2 Nakita ko dayon ang pito ka anghel nga nagatindog atubangan sa Dios. Ug ang matag usa kanila gihatagan ug trumpeta.
3 May lain pang anghel nga miduol sa halaran. Aduna siyay gikuptan nga bulawan nga sudlanan sa insenso. Gihatagan siyag daghang insenso aron iuban sa mga pag-ampo sa tanan nga katawhan sa Dios ug ihalad didto sa halaran nga bulawan nga anaa sa atubangan sa trono. 4 Gikan sa kamot sa anghel nga nagatindog atubangan sa Dios mipaibabaw ang aso sa gisunog nga insenso uban sa mga pag-ampo sa katawhan sa Dios. 5 Ug unya gikuha sa anghel ang sudlanan sa insenso ug gipuno niya kinig kalayo gikan sa halaran ug gilabay niya ngadto sa yuta. Diha-diha, nagpangilat, midahunog ang dalogdog, ug may nagkalain-lain pa nga dahunog, ug naglinog.
Ang mga Trumpeta
6 Unya, ang pito ka anghel nga may pito ka trumpeta nangandam na sa pagpatingog sa ilang mga trumpeta. 7 Gipatingog sa unang anghel ang iyang trumpeta, ug miulan ug ice[a] ug kalayo nga may sagol nga dugo. Ug nasunog ang ikatulong bahin sa yuta, ang ikatulong bahin sa mga kahoy, ug ang tanan nga sagbot.
8 Unya ang ikaduhang anghel mipatingog usab sa iyang trumpeta, ug adunay nahulog sa dagat nga morag usa ka dakong bukid nga nagdilaab. 9 Ug ang ikatulong bahin sa dagat nahimong dugo, ang ikatulong bahin sa tanan nga anaa sa dagat nangamatay, ug ang ikatulong bahin sa tanang mga barko nangaguba.
10 Ang ikatulo na usab nga anghel ang mipatingog sa iyang trumpeta, ug adunay dakong bitoon nga nagdilaab nga morag suga nga nahulog gikan sa langit ug mitugpa sa ikatulo nga bahin sa mga suba ug mga tuboran. 11 Ang ngalan niadtong bitoon “Pait.” Busa ang ikatulo nga bahin sa mga tubig mipait, ug daghang mga tawo ang nangamatay tungod sa pag-inom nila niini.
12 Ug ang ikaupat nga anghel mipatingog sa iyang trumpeta, ug ang nahitabo, naigo ang ikatulong bahin sa adlaw, ang ikatulong bahin sa bulan, ug ang ikatulong bahin sa mga bitoon, ug nawala ang ikatulong bahin sa ilang kahayag. Busa mingitngit ang ikatulong bahin sa adlaw ug ang ikatulong bahin sa gabii.[b]
13 Human niadto may nakita akong agila nga nagalupad sa kahanginan. Nadungog ko kining misinggit sa makusog, “Pagka-alaot! Pagka-alaot gayod sa mga nagapuyo sa kalibotan kon mopatingog pa ang nahibiling tulo ka mga anghel sa ilang mga trumpeta.”
