8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like (A)a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea (B)became blood. 9 A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of (C)the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and (D)a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on (E)the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters (F)became wormwood, and many people died from the water, (G)because it had been made bitter.

8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain,(A) all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third(B) of the sea turned into blood,(C) 9 a third(D) of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky(E) on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water(F)— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third(G) of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.(H)
