⁸And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders ^(A)fell down before the Lamb, ^(B)each holding a harp, and ^(C)golden bowls full of incense, ^(D)which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹And they sang ^(E)a new song, saying,

“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for ^(F)you were slain, and by your blood ^(G)you ransomed people for God
from ^(H)every tribe and language and people and nation,

“You are worthy^(F) to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
    and with your blood^(G) you purchased^(H) for God
    persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.^(I)
