The Lamb Is Worthy
8 When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp(A) and golden bowls(B) filled with incense,(C) which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song:(D)
You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slaughtered,
and you purchased[a] people[b]
for God by your blood
from every tribe and language
and people and nation.(E)
10 You made them a kingdom[c]
and priests to our God,(F)
and they will reign on the earth.
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and also of the living creatures and of the elders. Their number was countless thousands, plus thousands of thousands.(G)

8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures(A) and the twenty-four elders(B) fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp(C) and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers(D) of God’s people. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:(E)
“You are worthy(F) to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood(G) you purchased(H) for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.(I)
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests(J) to serve our God,
and they will reign[a] on the earth.”(K)
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.(L) They encircled the throne and the living creatures(M) and the elders.(N)
