17 For you say, ‘I am rich, I have made myself wealthy, and I need nothing.’[a] But you do not know that you are miserable and pitiable and poor and blind and naked. 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may be rich, and white clothes so that you may dress yourself and so the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed, and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore, be zealous and repent.

17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’(A) But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.(B) 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire,(C) so you can become rich; and white clothes(D) to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness;(E) and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.(F) So be earnest and repent.(G)
