12 (A)The one who conquers, I will make him (B)a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him (C)the name of my God, and (D)the name of the city of my God, (E)the new Jerusalem, (F)which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own (G)new name. 13 (H)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
To the Church in Laodicea
14 “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the (I)Amen, (J)the faithful and true witness, (K)the beginning of God's creation.
15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. (L)Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 (M)For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, (N)blind, and naked.

12 The one who is victorious(A) I will make a pillar(B) in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God(C) and the name of the city of my God,(D) the new Jerusalem,(E) which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear(F) what the Spirit says to the churches.

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness,(H) the ruler of God’s creation.(I) 15 I know your deeds,(J) that you are neither cold nor hot.(K) I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’(L) But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.(M)
