Contemporary English Version
4 (A) and will see him face to face. God's name will be written on the foreheads of the people. 5 (B) Never again will night appear, and no one who lives there will ever need a lamp or the sun. The Lord God will be their light, and they will rule forever.
The Coming of Christ
6 Then I was told:
These words are true and can be trusted. The Lord God controls the spirits of his prophets, and he is the one who sent his angel to show his servants what must happen very soon.

4 They will see his face,(A) and his name will be on their foreheads.(B) 5 There will be no more night.(C) They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.(D) And they will reign for ever and ever.(E)
John and the Angel
6 The angel said to me,(F) “These words are trustworthy and true.(G) The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets,(H) sent his angel(I) to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
