9 They came up over the surface of the earth and surrounded the encampment of the saints, the beloved city. Then fire came down from heaven[a] and consumed them.(A) 10 The Devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are,(B) and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.(C)

11 Then I saw a great white throne and One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them.(D)

9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded(A) the camp of God’s people, the city he loves.(B) But fire came down from heaven(C) and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them,(D) was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur,(E) where the beast(F) and the false prophet(G) had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.(H)
