22 [a]And the voice of harpers, and musicians and of pipers, and trumpeters shall be heard no more in thee, and no craftsman, of whosoever craft he be, shall be found anymore in thee: and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more in thee.
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more in thee: and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth: and with thine enchantment were deceived all nations.
24 And in her was found the [b]blood of the Prophets [c]and of the Saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

- Revelation 18:22 The events are two, the one of them opposite unto the other for amplification sake. There shall be, saith he, in Babylon no mirth nor joy at all, in this and the next verse, but all heavy and lamentable things from the bloody slaughters of the righteous and the vengeance of God coming upon it for the same.

will ever be found in you again.
The sound of a millstone
will never be heard in you again.(B)
23 The light of a lamp
will never shine in you again.
The voice of bridegroom and bride
will never be heard in you again.(C)
Your merchants were the world’s important people.(D)
By your magic spell(E) all the nations were led astray.
24 In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people,(F)
