⁸ And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “^[a](A)Fallen, fallen is ^(B)Babylon the great, she who has ^(C)made all the nations drink of the ^(D)wine of the ^[b]passion of her sexual immorality.”

^19 (A)The great city ^[a]was split into three parts, and the cities of the ^[b]nations fell. ^(B)Babylon the great was ^(C)remembered in the sight of God, to give her ^(D)the cup of the wine of ^[c]His fierce wrath.

¹⁸ The woman whom you saw is ^(A)the great city, which ^[a]reigns over the kings of the earth.”

² And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “^[a](A)Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She ^(B)has become a dwelling place of demons and a ^[b]prison of every ^(C)unclean spirit, and a ^[c]prison of every unclean and hateful bird.

^10 (A)standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, ‘^(B)Woe, woe, ^(C)the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in ^(D)one hour your judgment has come.’
