⁸ And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “^[a](A)Fallen, fallen is ^(B)Babylon the great, she who has ^(C)made all the nations drink of the ^(D)wine of the wrath of her ^[b]sexual immorality.”

^19 (A)And the great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the ^[a]nations fell. ^(B)Babylon the great was ^(C)remembered before God, to give her ^(D)the cup of the wine of the wrath of His rage.

¹⁸ And the woman whom you saw is ^(A)the great city, which has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.”

² And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “^[a](A)Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! And she ^(B)has become a dwelling place of demons and a ^[b]prison of every ^(C)unclean spirit, and a ^[c]prison of every unclean bird ^[d]and a ^[e]prison of every unclean and hateful beast.

^10 (A)standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, ‘^(B)Woe, woe, ^(C)the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in ^(D)one hour your judgment has come.’

¹⁶ saying, ‘^(A)Woe, woe, ^(B)the great city, she who ^(C)was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and ^[a]adorned with gold and precious ^[b]stones and pearls;

¹⁸ and were ^(A)crying out as they ^(B)saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘^(C)What is like ^(D)the great city?’

¹⁹ And they threw ^(A)dust on their heads and were crying out, crying and mourning, saying, ‘^(B)Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who have ships at sea ^(C)became rich by her ^[a]wealth, for in ^(D)one hour she has been laid ^(E)waste!’

²¹ Then ^[a]a ^(A)strong angel ^(B)picked up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon, ^(C)the great city, be thrown down with violence, and ^(D)will not be found any longer.
