7 And he was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. He was also given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.(A) 8 All those who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name was not written from the foundation of the world in the book[a] of life(B) of the Lamb who was slaughtered.[b](C)
9 If anyone has an ear, he should listen:(D)

7 It was given power to wage war(A) against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.(B) 8 All inhabitants of the earth(C) will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life,(D) the Lamb(E) who was slain from the creation of the world.[a](F)
9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.(G)
