And he was given (A)a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to [a]continue for (B)forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, (C)His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him (D)to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And (E)authority was given him over every [b]tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, (F)whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain (G)from the foundation of the world.

The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies(A) and to exercise its authority for forty-two months.(B) It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.(C) It was given power to wage war(D) against God’s holy people and to conquer them.
