¹² And he ^(A)exercises all the authority of the first beast ^[a](B)in his presence. And he makes ^(C)the earth and those who dwell in it to ^(D)worship the first beast, whose ^(E)fatal wound was healed.

⁹ Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone ^(A)worships the beast and his ^(B)image, and receives a ^(C)mark on his forehead or on his hand,

¹¹ And the ^(A)smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; ^(B)they have no rest day and night, those who ^(C)worship the beast and his ^(D)image, and ^[a]whoever receives the ^(E)mark of his name.”

² So the first angel went and poured out his bowl ^[a](A)on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant ^(B)sore on the ^[b]people ^(C)who have the mark of the beast and who worship his image.

The Beast and False Prophet Are Seized

²⁰ And the beast was seized, and with him the ^(A)false prophet who ^(B)did the signs ^[a](C)in his presence, by which he ^(D)deceived those who had received the ^(E)mark of the beast and those who ^(F)worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the ^(G)lake of ^(H)fire which burns with ^[b]brimstone.

⁴ Then I saw ^(A)thrones, and ^(B)they sat on them, and ^(C)judgment was given to them. And I saw ^(D)the souls of those who had been beheaded because of ^[a]their ^(E)witness of Jesus and because of the word of God, and who also had not ^(F)worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the ^(G)mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they ^(H)came to life and ^(I)reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
