15 Then from his mouth the serpent poured water like a river after the woman, to sweep her away with the flood.(A) 16 But the earth came to the help of the woman; it opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was angry with the woman and went off to wage war on the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus.(B)

15 Then from his mouth the serpent(A) spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war(B) against the rest of her offspring(C)—those who keep God’s commands(D) and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.(E)
