Kw yon fi k ap akouche ak dragon an

Dragon an kanpe devan fi k ap akouche a pou l devore bebe a touswit apre akouchman an.

Fi a fè yon pitit gason ki dwe gouvène tout nasyon sou latè ak yon baton an fè. Epi pitit la tou leve monte nan syèl al jwenn Bondye, kote twòn li ye. Fi a menm kouri al nan dezè a, l al nan yon plas ki te tou pare pou li. Nan plas sa a, l ap jwenn swen pou 1,260 jou.

Lè sa a, te gen yon batay nan syèl la. Michèl[a] ak anj li yo t ap goumen ak dragon an, epi dragon an menm, ak anj pa l yo, t ap goumen kont yo. Men yo pa t gen plis fòs, kon sa pa t gen plas pou yo nan syèl la ankò. Yo te voye gwo dragon an jete deyò soti nan syèl la.

“Kounye a, jou delivrans lan rive,
    jou puisans Bondye a,
jou reny Bondye a
ansanm ak pouvwa Kris li a,
paske akizatè frè ak sè nou yo
    ranvèse anba.
Se li menm ki te konn akize yo
    devan Bondye lajounen kou lannuit.
11 Yo ranpòte laviktwa sou li gras ak pouvwa san sakrifis Ti Mouton an
ansanm ak mesaj Bondye a yo t ap pote bay moun yo.
Yo pa t renmen pwòp tèt yo twòp
pou ta fè yo pè lanmò.
12 Syèl yo, se pou n rejwi nou
ansanm ak tout sa ki nan syèl yo!
Men sa va tèrib pou latè a ak lanmè a,
paske dyab la ranvèse tonbe sou nou.
Li move, li an kòlè,
paske l konnen l pa gen anpil tan ankò.”

13 Lè dragon an wè yo ranvèse l anba sou latè, li pran rapouswiv fi ki te akouche pitit gason an. 14 Men yo bay fi a de zèl gwo malfini an pou l ka vole pati ale nan dezè a, l al nan plas ki te prepare pou li a, byen lwen sèpan[b] an. Se la yo pran swen li pandan twa zan si mwa. 15 Lè sa a, sèpan an louvri bouch li, li vomi dlo tankou yon gwo larivyè dèyè fi a pou l te ka fini avè l. 16 Men, latè pote fi a sekou, li louvri bouch li, li anglouti gwo larivyè ki te soti nan bouch dragon an. 17 Lè sa a, dragon an te an kòlè kont fi a anpil. Li pati pou fè lagè ak tout pitit fi a. Pitit li yo, se moun k ap viv nan obeyi Bondye epi k ap rann temwanyaj pou Jezi.

18 Dragon an al kanpe sou sab lanmè a.

The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon

12 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out (A)in labor and in pain to give birth.

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, (B)a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. (C)His tail drew a third (D)of the stars of heaven (E)and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood (F)before the woman who was ready to give birth, (G)to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child (H)who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was (I)caught up to God and His throne. Then (J)the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there (K)one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

Satan Thrown Out of Heaven

And war broke out in heaven: (L)Michael and his angels fought (M)with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they [a]did not prevail, nor was a place found for [b]them in heaven any longer. So (N)the great dragon was cast out, (O)that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, (P)who deceives the whole world; (Q)he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, (R)“Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, (S)who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And (T)they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, (U)and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore (V)rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! (W)Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, (X)because he knows that he has a short time.”

The Woman Persecuted

13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted (Y)the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 (Z)But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, (AA)that she might fly (AB)into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished (AC)for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 So the serpent (AD)spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus [c]Christ.

The Woman and the Dragon

12 A great sign(A) appeared in heaven:(B) a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars(C) on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain(D) as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven:(E) an enormous red dragon(F) with seven heads(G) and ten horns(H) and seven crowns(I) on its heads. Its tail swept a third(J) of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.(K) The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child(L) the moment he was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”[a](M) And her child was snatched up(N) to God and to his throne. The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.(O)

Then war broke out in heaven. Michael(P) and his angels fought against the dragon,(Q) and the dragon and his angels(R) fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent(S) called the devil,(T) or Satan,(U) who leads the whole world astray.(V) He was hurled to the earth,(W) and his angels with him.

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven(X) say:

“Now have come the salvation(Y) and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,(Z)
who accuses them before our God day and night,
    has been hurled down.
11 They triumphed over(AA) him
by the blood of the Lamb(AB)
and by the word of their testimony;(AC)
they did not love their lives so much
    as to shrink from death.(AD)
12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens(AE)
and you who dwell in them!
But woe(AF) to the earth and the sea,(AG)
because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short.”

13 When the dragon(AH) saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.(AI) 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle,(AJ) so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time,(AK) out of the serpent’s reach. 15 Then from his mouth the serpent(AL) spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war(AM) against the rest of her offspring(AN)—those who keep God’s commands(AO) and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.(AP)

Satan Thrown Down to Earth

Now war arose in heaven, (O)Michael and (P)his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And (Q)the great dragon was thrown down, (R)that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, (S)the deceiver of the whole world—(T)he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now (U)the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers[b] has been thrown down, (V)who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And (W)they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for (X)they loved not their lives (Y)even unto death. 12 Therefore, (Z)rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But (AA)woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because (AB)he knows that his time is short!”

13 And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued (AC)the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 But the woman was given the two (AD)wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent (AE)into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished (AF)for a time, and times, and half a time. 15 The serpent poured water (AG)like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood. 16 But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. 17 Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off (AH)to make war on the rest of (AI)her offspring, (AJ)on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to (AK)the testimony of Jesus. And he stood[c] on the sand of the sea.
