¹⁶ and they *^(A)said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the ^[a]sight of Him ^(B)who sits on the throne, and from the ^(C)wrath of the Lamb; ¹⁷ for ^(D)the great day of Their wrath has come, and ^(E)who is able to stand?”

¹⁸ And ^(A)the nations were enraged, and ^(B)Your wrath came, and ^(C)the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to ^[a]reward Your ^(D)bond-servants the prophets and the ^[b]saints and those who fear Your name, ^(E)the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

¹⁹ So the angel ^[a]swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into ^(A)the great wine press of the wrath of God.

A Scene of Heaven

15 Then I saw ^(A)another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, ^(B)seven angels who had ^(C)seven plagues, which are ^(D)the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished.

⁷ And one of the ^(A)four living creatures gave the ^(B)seven angels seven ^(C)golden bowls full of the ^(D)wrath of God, who ^(E)lives forever and ever.

The Bowls of Wrath

16 Then I heard a loud voice from ^(A)the ^[a]temple, saying to the ^(B)seven angels, “Go and ^(C)pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

^15 (A)From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that ^(B)with it He may strike down the nations, and He will ^[a](C)rule them with a rod of iron; and ^(D)He treads the ^[b]wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
