⁸ The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like ^(A)a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea ^(B)became blood.

¹⁷ Thus says the Lord, “By this ^(A)you shall know that I am the Lord: behold, with the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water that is in the Nile, and ^(B)it shall turn into blood. ¹⁸ The fish in the Nile shall die, and the Nile will stink, and the Egyptians will ^(C)grow weary of drinking water from the Nile.”’” ¹⁹ And the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and ^(D)stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, their canals, and their ponds, and all their pools of water, so that they may become blood, and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, even in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”

²⁰ Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded. In the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants he ^(E)lifted up the staff and struck the water in the Nile, and all the ^(F)water in the Nile turned into blood. ²¹ And the fish in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians ^(G)could not drink water from the Nile. There was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

⁷ The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed ^(A)hail and ^(B)fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a ^(C)third of the earth was burned up, and a third of ^(D)the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

^23 (A)Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ^(B)‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not ^(C)doubt in his heart, but ^(D)believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

³ The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and ^(A)it became like the blood of a corpse, and ^(B)every living thing died that was in the sea.

⁴ The third angel poured out his bowl into ^(C)the rivers and the springs of water, and ^(D)they became blood. ⁵ And I heard the angel in charge of the waters^[a] say,

⁷ And I heard ^(K)the altar saying,

⁸ The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people ^(M)with fire. ⁹ They were scorched by the fierce heat, and ^(N)they cursed^[b] the name of God who had power over these plagues. ^(O)They did not repent ^(P)and give him glory.

¹⁰ The fifth angel poured out his bowl on ^(Q)the throne of the beast, and ^(R)its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish ¹¹ and cursed ^(S)the God of heaven for their pain and ^(T)sores. ^(U)They did not repent of their deeds.

¹² The sixth angel poured out his bowl on ^(V)the great river Euphrates, and ^(W)its water was dried up, ^(X)to prepare the way for the kings ^(Y)from the east. ¹³ And I saw, coming out of the mouth of ^(Z)the dragon and out of the mouth of ^(AA)the beast and out of the mouth of ^(AB)the false prophet, three ^(AC)unclean spirits like ^(AD)frogs. ¹⁴ For they are ^(AE)demonic spirits, ^(AF)performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, ^(AG)to assemble them for battle on ^(AH)the great day of God the Almighty. ¹⁵ (“Behold, ^(AI)I am coming like a thief! ^(AJ)Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, ^(AK)that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) ¹⁶ And ^(AL)they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called ^(AM)Armageddon.

The Seventh Bowl

¹⁷ The seventh angel poured out his bowl into ^(AN)the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, ^(AO)“It is done!” ¹⁸ And there were ^(AP)flashes of lightning, rumblings,^[c] peals of thunder, and ^(AQ)a great earthquake ^(AR)such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. ^19 (AS)The great city ^(AT)was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God ^(AU)remembered ^(AV)Babylon the great, ^(AW)to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. ²⁰ And ^(AX)every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. ²¹ And ^(AY)great hailstones, about one hundred pounds^[d] each, fell from heaven on people; and ^(AZ)they cursed God for ^(BA)the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

⁶ They have the power ^(A)to shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and ^(B)to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire.

^4 (A)This is what the Lord God showed me: behold, the Lord God was calling ^(B)for a judgment by fire, and it devoured the great deep and was eating up the land.

⁹ And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, ^(A)I, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
