² Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, ³ Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, ⁴ Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

⁴ And these were their names: From the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur; ⁵ from the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori; ^6 (A)from the tribe of Judah, ^(B)Caleb the son of Jephunneh; ⁷ from the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph; ⁸ from the tribe of Ephraim, ^(C)Hoshea the son of Nun; ⁹ from the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu; ¹⁰ from the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi; ¹¹ from the tribe of Joseph (that is, from the tribe of Manasseh), Gaddi the son of Susi; ¹² from the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli; ¹³ from the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael; ¹⁴ from the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi; ¹⁵ from the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi. ¹⁶ These were the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called ^(D)Hoshea the son of Nun Joshua.

¹⁴ The standard of the camp of the people of Judah set out ^(A)first by their companies, and over their company was ^(B)Nahshon the son of Amminadab. ¹⁵ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar. ¹⁶ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

¹⁷ And when ^(C)the tabernacle was taken down, the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, ^(D)who carried the tabernacle, set out. ¹⁸ And ^(E)the standard of the camp of Reuben set out by their companies, and over their company was ^(F)Elizur the son of Shedeur. ¹⁹ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Simeon was ^(G)Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. ²⁰ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Gad was ^(H)Eliasaph the son of ^(I)Deuel.

²¹ Then the Kohathites set out, ^(J)carrying the holy things, and ^(K)the tabernacle was set up before their arrival. ²² And ^(L)the standard of the camp of the people of Ephraim set out by their companies, and over their company was ^(M)Elishama the son of Ammihud. ²³ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Manasseh was ^(N)Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. ²⁴ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Benjamin was ^(O)Abidan the son of Gideoni.

²⁵ Then ^(P)the standard of the camp of the people of Dan, acting as the ^(Q)rear guard of all the camps, set out by their companies, and over their company was ^(R)Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. ²⁶ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Asher was ^(S)Pagiel the son of Ochran. ²⁷ And over the company of the tribe of the people of Naphtali was ^(T)Ahira the son of Enan.

⁴ And there shall be with you a man from each tribe, each man being the head of the house of his fathers. ⁵ And these are the names of the men who shall assist you. From Reuben, ^(A)Elizur the son of Shedeur; ⁶ from Simeon, ^(B)Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai; ⁷ from Judah, ^(C)Nahshon the son of Amminadab; ⁸ from Issachar, ^(D)Nethanel the son of Zuar; ⁹ from Zebulun, ^(E)Eliab the son of Helon; ¹⁰ from the sons of Joseph, from Ephraim, ^(F)Elishama the son of Ammihud, and from Manasseh, ^(G)Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur; ¹¹ from Benjamin, ^(H)Abidan the son of Gideoni; ¹² from Dan, ^(I)Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai; ¹³ from Asher, ^(J)Pagiel the son of Ochran; ¹⁴ from Gad, Eliasaph the son of ^(K)Deuel; ¹⁵ from Naphtali, ^(L)Ahira the son of Enan.”

Proclaiming Christ Crucified

2 And I, when I came to you, brothers,^{[a] (A)}did not come proclaiming to you ^(B)the testimony^[b] of God with lofty speech or wisdom. ² For I decided to know nothing among you except ^(C)Jesus Christ and him crucified.
