⁷ When He opened the fourth seal, ^(A)I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.”

^7 (A)The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

Third Seal: Scarcity on Earth

⁵ When He opened the third seal, ^(A)I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, ^(B)a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of ^(C)scales^[a] in his hand.
