⁸ And the four living creatures, ^(A)each of them with six wings, are ^(B)full of eyes all around and within, and ^(C)day and night they never cease to say,

² Above him stood the seraphim. Each had ^(A)six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. ³ And one called to another and said:

⁴ And ^(D)the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and ^(E)the house was filled with smoke. ⁵ And I said: “Woe is me! ^(F)For I am lost; ^(G)for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the ^(H)King, the Lord of hosts!”

⁶ Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. ⁷ And he ^(I)touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”

Isaiah's Commission from the Lord

⁸ And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for ^(J)us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” ⁹ And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

^8 (A)“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, ^(B)“who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

⁸ Jesus Christ is ^(A)the same yesterday and today and forever.

⁶ and before the throne there was ^(A)as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.

And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are ^(B)four living creatures, ^(C)full of eyes in front and behind:

^21 (A)Each had four faces, and each four wings, and underneath their wings ^(B)the likeness of human hands. ^22 (C)And as for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces whose appearance I had seen by the Chebar canal. ^(D)Each one of them went straight forward.

³ And they sing ^(A)the song of Moses, ^(B)the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,
