^7 (A)the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight.

^14 (A)And every one had four faces: ^(B)the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was ^(C)a human face, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

¹⁰ As for the likeness of their faces, ^(A)each had a human face. The four had the face of a lion on the right side, the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and the four had the face of an eagle.

^21 (A)Each had four faces, and each four wings, and underneath their wings ^(B)the likeness of human hands.

⁶ and before the throne there was ^(A)as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.

And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are ^(B)four living creatures, ^(C)full of eyes in front and behind:

⁴ The first was like a lion and had eagles' wings. Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it.

⁸ Under their wings ^(A)on their four sides ^(B)they had human hands. And the four had their faces and their wings thus:

^49 (A)The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, ^(B)swooping down like the eagle, a nation ^(C)whose language you do not understand,

⁹ For it is written in the Law of Moses, ^(A)“You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned? ¹⁰ Does he not certainly speak for our sake? It was written ^(B)for our sake, because ^(C)the plowman should plow in hope and the thresher thresh in hope of sharing in the crop.
