⁶ Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,^(A) clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,^(B) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.^(C)

² And I saw what looked like a sea of glass^(A) glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious^(B) over the beast^(C) and its image^(D) and over the number of its name.^(E) They held harps^(F) given them by God

⁶ Then I saw a Lamb,^(A) looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures^(B) and the elders.^(C) The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes,^(D) which are the seven spirits^[a](E) of God sent out into all the earth.

⁴ The twenty-four elders^(A) and the four living creatures^(B) fell down^(C) and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:

³ And they sang a new song^(A) before the throne and before the four living creatures^(B) and the elders.^(C) No one could learn the song except the 144,000^(D) who had been redeemed from the earth.

¹² Their entire bodies, including their backs, their hands and their wings, were completely full of eyes,^(A) as were their four wheels.^(B)

¹¹ All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders^(A) and the four living creatures.^(B) They fell down on their faces^(C) before the throne and worshiped God,

¹⁴ The four living creatures^(A) said, “Amen,”^(B) and the elders^(C) fell down and worshiped.^(D)

The Seals

6 I watched as the Lamb^(E) opened the first of the seven seals.^(F) Then I heard one of the four living creatures^(G) say in a voice like thunder,^(H) “Come!”

⁸ Each of the four living creatures^(A) had six wings^(B) and was covered with eyes all around,^(C) even under its wings. Day and night^(D) they never stop saying:

⁹ Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne^(G) and who lives for ever and ever,^(H)
