³ And the one seated there looks like jasper and carnelian, and around the throne is a rainbow that looks like an emerald.

²⁸ Like the bow in a cloud on a rainy day, such was the appearance of the splendor all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.

When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of someone speaking.^(A)

¹¹ It has the glory of God and a radiance like a very rare jewel, like jasper, clear as crystal.^(A)

The Angel with the Little Scroll

10 And I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun and his legs like pillars of fire.^(A)

¹³ I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.^{(A) 14} When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, ¹⁵ I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.^{(B) 16} When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”^(C)

²⁶ And above the dome over their heads there was something like a throne, in appearance like sapphire,^[a] and seated above the likeness of the throne was something that seemed like a human form.^(A)

¹⁹ The foundations of the wall of the city are adorned with every jewel; the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, ²⁰ the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.

¹⁰ and they saw the God of Israel. Under his feet there was something like a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness.^(A)
