To the Church in Philadelphia

⁷ “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia^(A) write:

²² I will place on his shoulder^(A) the key^(B) to the house of David;^(C) what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.^(D)

¹⁹ I will give you the keys^(A) of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be^[a] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be^[b] loosed in heaven.”^(B)

¹⁸ I am the Living One; I was dead,^(A) and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!^(B) And I hold the keys of death and Hades.^(C)

¹⁰ They called out in a loud voice, “How long,^(A) Sovereign Lord,^(B) holy and true,^(C) until you judge the inhabitants of the earth^(D) and avenge our blood?”^(E)

⁶ Jesus answered, “I am^(A) the way^(B) and the truth^(C) and the life.^(D) No one comes to the Father except through me.^(E)

³² He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.^(A) The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,^(B)

²⁴ “What do you want with us,^(A) Jesus of Nazareth?^(B) Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”^(C)
