¹⁷ Because you say, “^(A)I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have no need of anything,” and you do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked,

¹⁸ I advise you to ^(A)buy from Me ^(B)gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and ^(C)white garments so that you may clothe yourself and ^(D)the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to apply to your eyes so that you may see.

The Promise Is Eternal Life

^25 (A)This is the promise which He Himself ^[a]made to us: eternal life.

¹¹ And the testimony is this, that God has given us ^(A)eternal life, and ^(B)this life is in His Son.

¹⁸ while we ^(A)look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
