^11 (A)having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

^5 (A)There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor ^(B)light of the sun, for ^(C)the Lord God gives them light. ^(D)And they shall reign forever and ever.

⁶ Before the throne there ^[a]was ^(A)a sea of glass, like crystal. ^(B)And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

The River of Life

22 And he showed me ^(A)a ^[a]pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

¹⁸ The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. ^19 (A)The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,

^22 (A)The likeness of the ^[a]firmament above the heads of the ^[b]living creatures was like the color of an awesome ^(B)crystal, stretched out ^(C)over their heads.

The Glory of the New Jerusalem

^22 (A)But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ^23 (B)The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine ^[a]in it, for the ^[b]glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

^3 [a]And He who sat there was ^(A)like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; ^(B)and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.

³⁵ All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; ^(A)and the name of the city from that day shall be: ^(B)THE^[a] LORD IS THERE.”
