⁵ But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed

¹⁵ Then ^(A)the seventh angel sounded: ^(B)And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ^(C)“The ^[a]kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, ^(D)and He shall reign forever and ever!”

¹¹ if, by any means, I may ^(A)attain^[a] to the resurrection from the dead.

¹⁴ And you will be ^(A)blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

² Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. ³ And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

So I answered, “O Lord God, ^(A)You know.”

⁴ Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! ⁵ Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will ^(B)cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. ⁶ I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. ^(C)Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. ⁸ Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.

⁹ Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the ^[a]breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: ^(D)“Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ” ¹⁰ So I prophesied as He commanded me, ^(E)and ^[b]breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

¹¹ Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the ^(F)whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ^(G)‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ ¹² Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, ^(H)O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and ^(I)bring you into the land of Israel. ¹³ Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. ¹⁴ I ^(J)will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ”

¹⁵ For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be ^(A)but life from the dead?

⁸ and will go out ^(A)to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, ^(B)Gog and Magog, ^(C)to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. ^9 (D)They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

^20 (A)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(B)those who worshiped his image. ^(C)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(D)burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest ^(E)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. ^(F)And all the birds ^(G)were filled with their flesh.

The Witnesses Resurrected

^11 (A)Now after the three-and-a-half days ^(B)the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.
