^10 (A)Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. ^(B)Be faithful until death, and I will give you ^(C)the crown of life.

Loving God Under Trials

^12 (A)Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive ^(B)the crown of life ^(C)which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

²² And ^(A)you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. ^(B)But he who endures to the end will be saved.

¹⁰ Because you have kept ^[a]My command to persevere, ^(A)I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon ^(B)the whole world, to test those who dwell ^(C)on the earth. ^11 [b]Behold, ^(D)I am coming quickly! ^(E)Hold fast what you have, that no one may take ^(F)your crown.

^16 (A)You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put ^(B)some of you to death. ¹⁷ And ^(C)you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. ^18 (D)But not a hair of your head shall be lost. ¹⁹ By your patience possess your souls.

⁴ and when ^(A)the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive ^(B)the crown of glory that does not fade away.

^13 (A)And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But ^(B)he who ^[a]endures to the end shall be saved.

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against ^(A)principalities, against powers, against ^(B)the rulers of ^[a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

⁹ “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are ^(A)rich); and I know the blasphemy of ^(B)those who say they are Jews and are not, ^(C)but are a ^[a]synagogue of Satan.
