¹⁷ Look, you strong man! The Lord is about to shake you violently. He will take hold of you, ¹⁸ wind you up into a ball, and sling you into a wide land.^[a] There you will die, and there your glorious chariots will be—a disgrace to the house of your lord. ¹⁹ I will remove you from your office; you will be ousted from your position.

¹⁵ He also said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute was seated, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.^{(A) 16} The 10 horns you saw, and the beast, will hate the prostitute.^(B) They will make her desolate and naked, devour her flesh, and burn her up with fire.^{(C) 17} For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His plan by having one purpose^(D) and to give their kingdom^[a] to the beast until God’s words are accomplished. ¹⁸ And the woman you saw is the great city that has an empire^[b] over the kings of the earth.”

The Third Bowl

⁴ The third^[a] poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood.^{(A) 5} I heard the angel of the waters say:

⁷ Then I heard someone from the altar say:

¹¹ And I was told,^[a] “You must prophesy again about^[b] many peoples, nations, languages, and kings.”^(A)

¹³ Then I saw three unclean spirits like frogs^(A) coming from the dragon’s mouth,^(B) from the beast’s mouth,^(C) and from the mouth of the false prophet.^(D)

¹⁴ For they are spirits of demons performing signs,^(A) who travel to the kings of the whole world to assemble them for the battle of the great day of God, the Almighty.^(B)

⁸ You are already full! You are already rich! You have begun to reign as kings without us—and I wish you did reign, so that we could also reign with you!
