Revelation 18:5-8
Holman Christian Standard Bible
5 For her sins are piled up[a] to heaven,(A)
and God has remembered her crimes.
6 Pay her back the way she also paid,(B)
and double it according to her works.(C)
In the cup in which she mixed,(D)
mix a double portion for her.
7 As much as she glorified herself and lived luxuriously,
give her that much torment and grief,
for she says in her heart,
“I sit as a queen;
I am not a widow,
and I will never see grief.”(E)
8 For this reason her plagues will come in one day[b]—
death and grief and famine.
She will be burned up with fire,
because the Lord God who judges her is mighty.

You are righteous,
who is and who was,(B) the Holy One,
for You have decided these things.
6 Because they poured out
the blood of the saints and the prophets,

they deserve it!(C)

Yes, Lord God, the Almighty,
true and righteous are Your judgments.(D)
