    so that you will not share in her sins,
    so that you will not receive any of her plagues;^(B)

“Come out from them^(A)
    and be separate,
says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
    and I will receive you.”^[a](B)

⁴⁵ “Come out^(A) of her, my people!
    Run^(B) for your lives!
    Run from the fierce anger^(C) of the Lord.

⁶ “Flee^(A) from Babylon!
    Run for your lives!
    Do not be destroyed because of her sins.^(B)
It is time^(C) for the Lord’s vengeance;^(D)
    he will repay^(E) her what she deserves.

⁸ “Flee^(A) out of Babylon;^(B)
    leave the land of the Babylonians,
    and be like the goats that lead the flock.

¹¹ Depart,^(A) depart, go out from there!
    Touch no unclean thing!^(B)
Come out from it and be pure,^(C)
    you who carry the articles^(D) of the Lord’s house.

²⁰ Leave Babylon,
    flee^(A) from the Babylonians!
Announce this with shouts of joy^(B)
    and proclaim it.
Send it out to the ends of the earth;^(C)
    say, “The Lord has redeemed^(D) his servant Jacob.”
