The Finality of Babylon’s Doom

²¹ Then a mighty angel^(A) picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea,^(B) and said:

⁶³ When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates.^{(A) 64} Then say, ‘So will Babylon sink to rise no more^(B) because of the disaster I will bring on her. And her people^(C) will fall.’”^(D)

²¹ I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more.^(A) You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign Lord.”^(B)

² And I saw a mighty angel^(A) proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?”

The Judgment of the Dead

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne^(A) and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence,^(B) and there was no place for them.

²⁰ Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.^(A)

⁸ But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.

¹⁹ After this, he will turn back toward the fortresses of his own country but will stumble and fall,^(A) to be seen no more.^(B)
