²¹ From the sky huge hailstones,^(A) each weighing about a hundred pounds,^[a] fell on people. And they cursed God^(B) on account of the plague of hail,^(C) because the plague was so terrible.

¹⁹ Then God’s temple^(A) in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant.^(B) And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder,^(C) an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.^(D)

⁹ They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God,^(A) who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent^(B) and glorify him.^(C)

¹¹ and cursed^(A) the God of heaven^(B) because of their pains and their sores,^(C) but they refused to repent of what they had done.^(D)

⁷ The first angel^(A) sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire^(B) mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third^(C) of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.^(D)

¹¹ As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the Lord hurled large hailstones^(A) down on them,^(B) and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.

²¹ I will summon a sword^(A) against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother.^{(B) 22} I will execute judgment^(C) on him with plague and bloodshed;^(D) I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones^(E) and burning sulfur^(F) on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.^(G)

¹³ “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones^(A) and torrents of rain^(B) will fall with destructive fury.^(C)

¹¹ therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones^(A) hurtling down,^(B) and violent winds will burst forth.^(C)
