²¹ And ^(A)great hailstones, about one hundred pounds^[a] each, fell from heaven on people; and ^(B)they cursed God for ^(C)the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

¹⁹ Then ^(A)God's temple in heaven was opened, and ^(B)the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings,^[a] peals of thunder, an earthquake, and ^(C)heavy hail.

⁹ They were scorched by the fierce heat, and ^(A)they cursed^[a] the name of God who had power over these plagues. ^(B)They did not repent ^(C)and give him glory.

¹¹ and cursed ^(A)the God of heaven for their pain and ^(B)sores. ^(C)They did not repent of their deeds.

⁷ The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed ^(A)hail and ^(B)fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a ^(C)third of the earth was burned up, and a third of ^(D)the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

¹¹ And as they fled before Israel, while they were ^(A)going down the ascent of Beth-horon, ^(B)the Lord threw down large stones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died because of the hailstones than the sons of Israel killed with the sword.

^21 (A)I will summon a sword against Gog^[a] on all my mountains, declares the Lord God. ^(B)Every man's sword will be against his brother. ²² With pestilence and bloodshed ^(C)I will enter into judgment with him, and ^(D)I will rain upon him and ^(E)his hordes and the many peoples who are with him ^(F)torrential rains and hailstones, ^(G)fire and sulfur.

¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord God: ^(A)I will make a stormy wind break out in my wrath, ^(B)and there shall be a deluge of rain in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to make a full end.

¹¹ say to those who smear it with whitewash that it shall fall! ^(A)There will be a deluge of rain, and you, O great hailstones, will fall, and a stormy wind break out.
