¹⁷ The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air,^(A) and out of the temple^(B) came a loud voice^(C) from the throne, saying, “It is done!”^(D)

⁶ He said to me: “It is done.^(A) I am the Alpha and the Omega,^(B) the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost^(C) from the spring of the water of life.^(D)

³⁰ When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.”^(A) With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

² in which you used to live^(A) when you followed the ways of this world^(B) and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air,^(C) the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.^(D)

⁵ After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple^(A)—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law^(B)—and it was opened.^{(C) 6} Out of the temple^(D) came the seven angels with the seven plagues.^(E) They were dressed in clean, shining linen^(F) and wore golden sashes around their chests.^(G)

⁶ And he swore^(A) by him who lives for ever and ever,^(B) who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it,^(C) and said, “There will be no more delay!^{(D) 7} But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet,^(E) the mystery^(F) of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”^(G)

¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,^(A) but against the rulers, against the authorities,^(B) against the powers^(C) of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.^(D)

⁷ The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand^(A) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,^(B) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.^[a](C) When the power of the holy people^(D) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.^(E)”

⁸ I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”

⁹ He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed^(F) until the time of the end.^{(G) 10} Many will be purified, made spotless and refined,^(H) but the wicked will continue to be wicked.^(I) None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.^(J)

¹¹ “From the time that the daily sacrifice^(K) is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation^(L) is set up, there will be 1,290 days.^{(M) 12} Blessed is the one who waits^(N) for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.^(O)

¹³ “As for you, go your way till the end.^(P) You will rest,^(Q) and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.^(R)”

The Thousand Years

20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven,^(A) having the key^(B) to the Abyss^(C) and holding in his hand a great chain. ² He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan,^(D) and bound him for a thousand years.^{(E) 3} He threw him into the Abyss,^(F) and locked and sealed^(G) it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations^(H) anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
