^7 (A)Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God ^(B)who lives forever and ever.

First Bowl: Loathsome Sores

² So the first went and poured out his bowl ^(A)upon the earth, and a ^[a]foul and ^(B)loathsome sore came upon the men ^(C)who had the mark of the beast and those ^(D)who worshiped his image.

Second Bowl: The Sea Turns to Blood

³ Then the second angel poured out his bowl ^(E)on the sea, and ^(F)it became blood as of a dead man; ^(G)and every living creature in the sea died.

Third Bowl: The Waters Turn to Blood

⁴ Then the third angel poured out his bowl ^(H)on the rivers and springs of water, ^(I)and they became blood. ⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters saying:

⁷ And I heard ^[e]another from the altar saying, “Even so, ^(O)Lord God Almighty, ^(P)true and righteous are Your judgments.”

Fourth Bowl: Men Are Scorched

⁸ Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl ^(Q)on the sun, ^(R)and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and they ^(S)blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; ^(T)and they did not repent ^(U)and give Him glory.

Fifth Bowl: Darkness and Pain

¹⁰ Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl ^(V)on the throne of the beast, ^(W)and his kingdom became full of darkness; ^(X)and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. ¹¹ They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

Sixth Bowl: Euphrates Dried Up

¹² Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl ^(Y)on the great river Euphrates, ^(Z)and its water was dried up, ^(AA)so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. ¹³ And I saw three unclean ^(AB)spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of ^(AC)the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of ^(AD)the false prophet. ¹⁴ For they are spirits of demons, ^(AE)performing signs, which go out to the kings ^[f]of the earth and of ^(AF)the whole world, to gather them to ^(AG)the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

^15 (AH)“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, ^(AI)lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

^16 (AJ)And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, ^[g]Armageddon.

Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken

¹⁷ Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, ^(AK)“It is done!” ¹⁸ And ^(AL)there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; ^(AM)and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake ^(AN)as had not occurred since men were on the earth. ¹⁹ Now ^(AO)the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And ^(AP)great Babylon ^(AQ)was remembered before God, ^(AR)to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. ²⁰ Then ^(AS)every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. ²¹ And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

The Scarlet Woman and the Scarlet Beast

17 Then ^(AT)one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying ^[h]to me, “Come, ^(AU)I will show you the judgment of ^(AV)the great harlot ^(AW)who sits on many waters,

⁶ and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, ^(A)who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, ^(B)that there should be delay no longer,

Worthy Is the Lamb

⁸ Now when He had taken the scroll, ^(A)the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the ^(B)prayers of the saints.

The New Jerusalem^(A)

⁹ Then one of ^(B)the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came ^[a]to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you ^(C)the ^[b]bride, the Lamb’s wife.”

Prelude to the Bowl Judgments

15 Then ^(A)I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: ^(B)seven angels having the seven last plagues, ^(C)for in them the wrath of God is complete.

⁶ Before the throne there ^[a]was ^(A)a sea of glass, like crystal. ^(B)And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. ^7 (C)The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. ⁸ The four living creatures, each having ^(D)six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:

⁹ Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, ^(H)who lives forever and ever,

Judgment on the Nations

¹⁵ For thus says the Lord God of Israel to me: “Take this ^(A)wine cup of ^[a]fury from My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.
