² And I saw something like ^(A)a sea of glass ^(B)mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, ^(C)over his image and ^[a]over his mark and over the ^(D)number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, ^(E)having harps of God.

⁶ Before the throne there ^[a]was ^(A)a sea of glass, like crystal. ^(B)And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

¹¹ And ^(A)they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, ^(B)and they did not love their lives to the death.

Heaven Exults over Babylon

19 After these things ^(A)I ^[a]heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! ^(B)Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to ^[b]the Lord our God! ² For ^(C)true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He ^(D)has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.” ³ Again they said, “Alleluia! ^(E)Her smoke rises up forever and ever!” ⁴ And ^(F)the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, ^(G)“Amen! Alleluia!” ⁵ Then a voice came from the throne, saying, ^(H)“Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, ^(I)both^[c] small and great!”

^6 (J)And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For ^(K)the^[d] Lord God Omnipotent reigns! ⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for ^(L)the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

Worthy Is the Lamb

⁸ Now when He had taken the scroll, ^(A)the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the ^(B)prayers of the saints.

⁷ that ^(A)the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though ^(B)it is tested by fire, ^(C)may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

^11 (A)I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. ^(B)He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit ^[a]and fire.

¹⁸ The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.

^14 (A)And he deceives ^[a]those who dwell on the earth ^(B)by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword ^(C)and lived. ¹⁵ He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak ^(D)and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. ¹⁶ He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, ^(E)to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, ¹⁷ and that no one may buy or sell except one who has ^[b]the mark or ^(F)the name of the beast, ^(G)or the number of his name.

^18 (H)Here is wisdom. Let him who has ^(I)understanding calculate ^(J)the number of the beast, ^(K)for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

The Lamb and the 144,000

14 Then I looked, and behold, ^[c]a ^(L)Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him ^(M)one hundred and forty-four thousand, ^[d]having His Father’s name ^(N)written on their foreheads. ² And I heard a voice from heaven, ^(O)like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of ^(P)harpists playing their harps. ³ They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song ^(Q)except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. ⁴ These are the ones who were not defiled with women, ^(R)for they are virgins. These are the ones ^(S)who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These ^(T)were ^[e]redeemed from among men, ^(U)being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. ⁵ And ^(V)in their mouth was found no ^[f]deceit, for ^(W)they are without fault ^[g]before the throne of God.
